I officially decided I just don't have the time to blog anymore. I figure I'll leave this up for everyone to see for a couple of months and then eventually delete my blog completely.........

In the perfect world I would be able to find the time at least 3 times a week so that I could blog. But truthfully I just don't have the time. There is just way too many things going on in my life right now.

It really does make me sad. I enjoyed blogging so much about a year ago this time. It was an outlet for me but it grew to be a chore and something I no longer looked forward to. This blog started during a time that I was married and things were different. My entire life turned around and though I tried to keep the blog going, being a single mom changed everything. I am no longer Supermom.

This blog has been up and running for 2 years this month. WOW.... It makes me happy to see how far I came in 2 years... I enjoyed every minute of it and ever new person I met because of it. I do believe that eventually I will start blogging again... who know what the reason will be but it will happen again one day... of course when that day will come I am sure it will be because I am starting a new chapter of my life... and I won't want that to be connected to anything to do with my life before. Though I don't regret it, I want to disconnect myself from everything old life as possible.

Instead of blogging I will most definitely be staying on Instagram so if you are on there please come find me.

So I guess this is good bye for now... It has been a pleasure. XOXO

I am going to miss these days...

I am really going to miss the days that I get to spend all day with my little one. Right now my schedule is pretty open. I get to spend all day Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with my love bug, and starting in a couple of weeks, once I pass my test and get Payton into pre-school, I won’t get to have these times with her.

I have been so lucky to have had to opportunity to be a stay at home mom. And even to have the schedule that I have now, but it is time to start a new chapter of my life and start making a living for myself and my little one.

I know her going to school and me working more with only be good for both of us, I just know that I am going to miss her like crazy. I look forward to the day that I get to work from home. Hopefully that happens by the time I get married and have another baby... which will probably be a long time from now. haha. A girl can dream though right? Who can blame me for wanting to have a family again. And this time hopefully it will stick. Ugh.... ANYWAYS happy Wednesday.... Sunday Citar

When I was blogging on the regular this was one of my favorite post to do each week, soooooo in trying to get back into the grove I think it is only fitting for me to post a Sunday Citar post with Fresh Mommy Tabitha.

You never know why bad things happen to people, but there are always good things that come out of it. On Christmas day the friend of mine that introduced me to Chris (seen with me in the picture) and Brittany (my roommate), Cody, passed away in his sleep. It was a horrible tragedy that none of us ever expected to go through. In the worst of it all, we try to find the positive in all of it. If it wasn’t for Cody I wouldn’t have met my two best friends. Today is Cody’s memorial and though I have been able to get through it all these last two weeks, I feel weaker today than ever. If you are reading this, I just ask you to pray for Cody’s family and friends as we try to get through today.

Change Is Good:

First off, I AM BACK! Ok maybe... I am not really sure. I am going to try my best to keep up with my blogging but I just don’t know if I will be able to. I need to find the time to do it along with find the time to do a lot of other things. My time management is horrible these days. I can’t figure out how to get everything done the way I used to. Being a working mom had been really difficult for me. The other day my friend told me to suck it up. I have been so lucky to stay home with my little girly as long as I have, but it is time for me to start the new chapter and time for her to go to school. It is a must!

I have been gone for over a month, It was a nice break, but I really did miss it. I gave my blog an facelift today and will probably be tweaking it for a little, but it was needed and I hope you like it. I want to start doing a lot of new things around here. I want to try and get more interactive with all of you, my wonderful readers. So many of you emailed me asking me how I was and if I was going to come back and so forth, sorry if I didn’t get back to you.

I have been going through lot these last few weeks, one of the reasons I haven’t blogged, but I don’t want to get into it today.... instead lets just say that Change Is Good, and here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks....

New Hair, New Me:

It is amazing how different you can feel when you change something about your self. And to think that just changing the color of your hair can do that is kind of cool. It doesn’t have to be done, but when you do it and you really like it, it can really change your mood. At least I know it changes mine. I have drooled over Christina Perry's hair for quite some time now and decided that it was about time I do something fun to my hair. Give me the little boost I have been wanting lately... well I did it and believe it or not, it did just that........

Happy Halloween:

This years Halloween was so much fun. My little “Princess Jasmine” was all over the place and soooo into it. She went up to just about every door all on her own and “would knock on the door saying “trick or treat, trick or treat” in the cutest little voice of hers. She would say thank you and would even pick out her favorite candies when they gave her the option. It was evident that she had blast because as soon as we were done walking my parents street and got into the car, she was asleep in seconds.

Brotherly Love

I remember finding out I had a brother on the way and not being very excited about it. I was an only child till I was 6 and I just about got away with everything. I had all kinds of attention. It was wonderful. that was at least until my little brother was born. All the attention was definitely not on me anymore and I resented him for that.

From the time he was born till the about five years old I, in one way or another, caused him to go to the hospital to get stitches or even staples. I don’t really think I knew that I was doing it but I look at it now and realize that it was literally all my fault. (Sorry Brother)

After he was about five, he started to defend himself. He was smart, though he didn’t talk very much, he knew exactly how to get me in trouble. He would fake cry to pretend that I hurt him and he even learned to rate me out when I would do things I wasn’t supposed to. It was never ending.

Please tell me I am not the only one who fought with there siblings...

The fighting didn’t stop until I moved out. We are a lot closer now and I am really proud of the man he has become. He left for college 3 hours from home in August. Though he comes home almost every other weekend, it is nice to see he can actually fend for himself and be independent (he is kind of a momma’s boy).

This summer, right before he left for school, we went to Hawaii. Ten day vacation... We only had two rooms and all us kids, including Payton shared a room. I was absolutely positive that at one point during the vacation my brother and I would end up killing each other. After the first day, nothing, Same with the second and third day. On the fourth and fifth day... still nothing. AFTER 10 days, we still hadn’t fought. It was unbelievable. Whether it is the fact that we have grown up, or just the fact that I don’t resent him from taking my spot lite, I was really grateful to have gotten to spend the time with him before he left for school. I was really grateful that Payton was able to enjoy the time with her Uncle for all those 10 days.

We love you Uncle Travie.. Keep having a great time in Santa Barbara and come visit us any time! xoxo

New Somethings

I know I have stated before that I want to try and post a picture a day... and well that didn’t happen. But I do want to try and post more. I love blogging so much, I guess after my ex husband left me I found it harder to post because I wasn’t sharing things I was doing as a “family” ... after getting in the pattern of not posting as much I have had a lot of trouble getting back into it.

I believe they say that it takes three weeks to set a habit into place. So then for the next three weeks I am going to do whatever it takes, even loose sleep if I have to, so that I can get back into my groove.

I also want to make it a habit to start working out regularly and ALSO wake up earlier. I love love love sleeping in. I have been blessed with a baby who knew how to do that until about a month ago. I don’t know what changed but she has been waking up early again, can’t remember the last time she did that. May three weeks old? Anyways, it has been a while and so considering she is waking up earlier I think I need to train myself to do the same. AND what better to do first thing in the morning than wake up! Whoop Whoop. Ok I am excited but I am going to need you all to wish me lots of luck, I am really going to need it!

What else is new you might ask? Well this little beauty bellow... enjoy these black and whites of sweet Baby S... because my ovaries sure do...

Sister Sister:

I can’t believe my sister is all grown up. She is 9 Years younger than me and just turned 16. I seriously feel like this last year she has blossomed into quite the woman. I am so very proud of her and so grateful to call her my sister. Payton can truly look up to her too. I think even I could. There is so much to learn from this young girl. What I would do to live her life. My little athlete is what I will call her.

This last weekend she got to partake in her junior homecoming dance with all her sweet friends. It was so fun to take pictures. I felt like I was truly living though her. I felt so lucky to help her pick out her dress and partly do her makeup and even let her barrow my earrings (which I haven’t gotten back sister!). What I would do to be 16 again. Though I have no regrets in life I do believe I would have done things quite differently had I had a second chance.

Too Busy For My Own Good...

As if life isn’t crazy enough I can’t find time to even think these days. I have found myself barely getting time to just sit down for a second. I guess this is a good thing. I have always liked staying busy but it is definitely a change from a few months ago when all I did was sit at the house.

My life has changed tremendously in the past year. Whether it is good or not I have learned to deal with it and make the most of it. I can definitely thank my friends for that. They remind me how amazing life can be when you just trust in God and believe that he will take care of you no matter what.

Like I said, life has been a little crazy. A few weeks ago I tried to do a picture a day, oh wait that was already like a month ago... I don’t know what I was thinking. I guess with moving and now having a “real” job, I just haven’t had as much time for blogging. Or as some of my friends say, I have the time, I just choose to spend it doing other things. Like for instance this last weekend... we went to Sea World to Celebrate Chris’ daughter’s 1st birthday. Sea world was such a fun time and I am so grateful that I got invited. Chris is my Boss’ son, who I just so happened to meet in my bible study. Same bible study I met my roommate in.

Anyways, I trusted in God and he has delivered two amazing people into my life. I am forever grateful.

Roommate:

I am ridiculously excited to announce that Payton and I will be moving out with my dear friend Brittany. After talking about it for a little over a month, we finally made the leap and did what it took to make it happen. And truthfully, it has happened so smoothly that it almost seems too good to be true. But I am a firm believer that what is meant to be will be.

Brittany is everything that I could of asked for in a roommate. She is a believer of GOD (we met in bible study), she is goofy, LOVING, sweet, strong willed, PAYTON LOVES HER... It is just a perfect match and I feel so very blessed. This isn’t just going to help me financially but it is going to help Brittany in so many ways. All together it is awesome and we are all just jumping for joy.

only 8 days till we move too!!!! :)

It Stings Like A Jelly Fish/FFF

I have always been a daughter of God. The faith that I have has always been there and though I have done things throughout my life that I find hard to be forgiven, I realize that God takes away all my sins to make me pure again. When God forgives you he washes away your past. If he can forgive me for all that I have done then I should be able to forgive others who have hurt me too.

Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”

“No!” Jesus replied, “seventy times seven!” -Mathew 18:21-22

After my ex husband left me and lie after stinging lie was told, I had to keep in mind that grudges are not meant to be kept. My faith kept me together. I was breaking inside but knew that God was taking care of me. I knew that no mater what reason he really left me for, I was to forgive him as our Lord has forgiven me, myself and I.

When you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. -Mark 11:25

It has been hard for outsiders, mostly close friends and family, to understand how I was able to survive the separation so easy. My only answer is God. Remembering that it wasn’t the end of the world and that I was strong enough to do it all on my own. I never needed a man to complete me. He may have told me that he wasn’t in love with me anymore when he was leaving me, but even that sting didn’t kill me. It hurt like no other, but part of me knew he didn’t mean it.

Today and every day since he left the girl he left me for, he has tried to figure out how we could work things out. He holds on to the what ifs and that maybes but I just can’t see the light. I have forgiven him for leaving me and Payton the way that he did, yet I don’t think I could ever let him do that to me again. How could I ever trust him. But then again how do you trust anybody? You have to gain that trust. I think just knowing that he could leave me once and so easily, makes it hard to believe he wouldn’t do that to me again.

I try not to think about it too much, but truth is, it is hard not to think about it when I have him trying to prove himself to me on a daily basis. I love the man as my daughters father, but now I think I am the one who just “isn’t in love with him anymore”.... Everything just hurts like being stung by a jelly fish... will someone pee on me already?!?!?!?!?!?!

As if...

{Dinner at PF Changs in Hawaii}

As if having my daughter gone for three days and two nights wasn’t enough emotional drama for me, Payton told me she didn’t miss me and wanted to go with her dad the very next day. I tried so hard not to take it personally. I was half excited that she enjoyed hanging out with him so much, and half heartbroken that she wasn’t as excited to be with me as I would have thought.

For the year that my ex and I have been separated I have cried over the thought that he was never going to be able to take her for more than 24 hours. Every time I brought it up he would remind me of the PTSD issues he suffers from and how it wouldn’t work out. I had practically given up. I figured it was never going to happen and I started to become ok with that. I was totally unprepared when he sent me a text mid week to see if I would mind him taking her more than one night during the weekend.

Instead of being excited about this FINALLY happening I found myself scared. Fearing that it was almost too good to be true. Do I dare make big plans to be gone for the weekend too. We all know I wasn’t going to be able to just sit at home, I would miss her too much. But the thought of making plans had me thinking, What if he realizes he can’t handle her after all and has to 911 call me, “GET HOME NOW!”. I had to bite my tongue and try not to question him too much. I figured if he was asking, then he was ready. But was I?

I don’t think you can ever be ready for something like this. If you are a dad or have a husband/baby daddy that would disagree with this next statement please do, but for what I know and have noticed, it is much harder for moms to spend time away from there babies. Something about the bond mother and baby share, the connection, she is like an extension of me. To not have her was like missing a part of me, like missing one of my senses or one of my limbs. I felt sick.

I found myself thinking about her every second of the day. Every song on the radio had me picturing her singing and dancing to it. Every little girl or boy around had me wishing she was with me. It didn’t matter what it was, I was reminded of her and was doing whatever I could to stay busy so I wouldn’t break down and cry. I tried my hardest to let Payton and her dad have their time together. Even though I thought about calling or texting to check up on her all the time I did my best not to. I was so grateful that Payton’s dad would text me pictures occasionally. I am sure he knew how hard it was for me, and I am lucky he is considerate and thought about my feelings enough to do so. All in all of course it was super hard but knowing it will only get easier and easier is reassuring.

First Weekend Without Payton:

I don’t think I realized how hard it was going to be not having my baby for the weekend, while her dad took her I pictured me enjoying the weekend and time to myself. I mean don’t all us moms complain about how we never get time to ourselves... well as soon as my time away from her started I was missing her like crazy.

Since the day she was born I haven’t spent more than 24 hours away from her. Maybe I have complained about never having help and never being able to go on mini vacations without her, but truthfully that is just me being a brat. I knew that with having a kid all that type of fun was out the door. AND realistically I was ok with it. I don’t mind. I enjoy every minute with my baby girl.

There was not a minute that went by where I didn’t miss her like crazy. I know that this is only the beginning and that I am going to have to get used to it. But it is going to be hard. Any of you separated parents have any tips for me? I’d love to hear how you deal with the time away from you babies.

Day 2 :: Night Life/FFF

Of course it is Friday so Friend Finding Friday is in order, but this week along with a few of the next will also be combined with with my Picture a Day Hawaii Style fun project.

Since we were in Waikiki, we kind of did the night thing pretty much ever night. Payton would take a late nap, have dinner with us and then usual fall asleep in the stroller moments after. We enjoyed dinner as a family every night. I was a neat experience, because we all got along. It has been a while since that has happened. Yes a few days here and there someone was getting on someone else's nerves. But for the first time in I can’t even tell you how long. My dad (step-dad) and I got along the entire time.

I would like to think that with growing up comes a new form of respect for your parents and a real appreciation once you become a parent yourself. Knowing all that they go through and everything you put them through. Though growing up my parents were my favorite people in the world, I can truly say I am so overly grateful for all their hard work and patience. I wouldn’t be have the woman I am today if it wasn’t for them. Even though 10 o’clock curfews and the daily sweeping other rules that seemed so ridiculous at the time, seem to not seem all that bad these days... I kind of wish they would have been a little harder on me. lol. Just kidding :) But really I am grateful.

There is so much in life to be grateful for. Maybe life isn’t handed to you on a silver platter, but I can’t express enough how important life could be worse. Someone out there has a more horrible situation that they are going through, someone out there didn’t grow up with a mother or a father, someone out there doesn’t have a ruff over their head. All these kids that write on Facebook and Twitter, “FML” due to something so little, need to take a step back, and remember to be grateful for the things that they do have.

Maybe life doesn’t always seem that grate, and it is hard to see the bigger picture. Like the lights aren’t bright enough to guide you though and you find yourself trying to find you way through the dark... but when you think about it, there are always new chapters being made. God has a plan for all of us, he never gives us anything we can’t handle. Life is a learning experience and what is hard, only makes us stronger. Keeping your head up though every situation and remember that things might get worse, but will eventually get better and staying positive is just something I have had to learn in the last year. It is something I will definitely keep with me for the rest of my life. Without going though my divorce, I may not have learned this, or then again, maybe I would have gone down a different path and learned it through another situation. lol. Isn’t life interesting?

Day 1 :: A Picture a Day?

Hawaii was kind of like a trip I only could have dreamt of. I was able to get away and enjoy some time with my family. The entire time I was gone I didn’t feel the need to take deep breaths or bite my tongue. I was relaxed. I was refreshed. I really needed it.

While we were there we of course did the tour of Pearl Harbor and the Memorial of the USS Arizona along with all kinds of different things. Pearl Harbor was a mind opening experience and very humbling. Getting to see a piece of our history up so close was incredible. Reading the names of those people that lost there lives on that day was chilling.

This experience made me realize I sometimes I take the life I have for granted. I need to remember more that things could be so much worse. Yeah, of course they could be better, but I have my baby girl, and my family, and some pretty awesome friends, what more could I ask for? Maybe a husband? Nah, I don’t need that again any time soon.

On the 10th it was a year since James (my ex husband) left me. I am neither happy nor sad about this. I don’t want to celebrate it but at the same time I rejoice in the fact that I was able to make it though the past year. I feel stronger than ever. Yes, at times I break down and wonder “Why did this happen to me?” or “what did I do to deserve this?”. But those questions aren’t going to be answered. Because things happen without our control.

I am a firm believing that things happen for a reason. AND like a say a lot, God has a plan for me. Not sure what it is, but what I had going on wasn’t what he wanted for my life. A new purpose is out there. I can’t wait to find out.

Back to Reality:

First off HELLO!!!!!!! Can’t believe I was gone for so long but let me tell you just how much I needed it. I was in Oahu for those who didn’t know and though I had access to the internet I thought taking a break from the blog was a good idea. I needed time to reconnect and collect myself. Remembering how to love myself was a wonderful journey and in Hawaii? Who could ask for a better place.

I can’t explain to you enough how grateful I am to still have this amazing lady in my life. I have so many fond memories with her and my Grampie. I miss my Grampie dearly but know that he is in a better place now.

This lady was born in the early 1900’s she has lived through a lot and experienced it all. At 97 years old she is still going strong. We are so lucky to have her in our lives and it is amazing to say that Payton has a GREAT-GREAT-Grandma. I always thought it was good having just a Great-Grandma but Payton is just plain lucky!!! We are bless.

I can definitely say that with all the extra time that we will be having on our hand we will be making many many many trips to Disneyland... I mean why not.... we have a pass (Thanks to Grammie) and when you have a pass you can go for 2 hours and not feel bad about it. Plus Payton loves it!

I hate that I haven’t been able to stay on top of all my favorite memes lately... and even more so that I haven’t been able to stay up to date with my internet buddies... If you aren’t on Twitter or a friend through instagram... I probably don’t get a chance to say hello to you enough... makes me sad. But what makes me happy is that I will be having a lot more time in the next few months to be doing lots more visiting with all of you. Thursday was my last day as a Nanny, and thought I loved a lot of it, I was also loosing my mind with a lot of it too. I felt a little taken advantage of at time due to the fact that I was a friend. Sad but true... I like speaking the truth here so that I just what I am going to do...

Anyways, I no longer am a nanny and I am starting a new job next week. I will be a personal assistant to a very lovely lady who works out of her home. She happens to be the mother to a friend of mine, but the most amazing thing about her is she is an great Christian. I can’t wait to share the word of God with her and share that in a work environment. Other than doing that I will also be doing lots of photography work and spending time with my pumpkin... Like is good!

another week... a better one at that...

the sun is shinning, and pool towels are hanging to dry. This hot weather has called for many pool days

that even the things seem bad, they can be worse and that you have to stay positive

the faith that I have and the group of friend that I have acquired though church who can keep me accountable.

that the impossible is sometime quite possible and that you just have to believe and have faith

workout cloths... Last week I was up late, probably due to the fact that I can’t ever sleep, you know the usual... and I got caught up watching infomercials. I was shocked to see that one of my gym teachers was on there with a workout program available on DVD. I was overly excited about it due the fact that I loved her class but didn’t love the 100+ membership to the gym that I had to pay to take it... So thank to some extra money I acquired working my little bootie off, I made the purchase and got Turbo Fire.

a new ME! yup... you read right... I am going to be reforming my body and making a better, more fit one!

to be working out 6 days a week for the next 3 months, and quite possible for the rest of my life... now that I have received TURBO FIRE

the bible... trying to get back into a routine of reading a little every day

to go back to school starting at the end of Aug. and will be finding out all about it next week!!!

that as a single mom I can get financial help to go back to school, so I am hoping to find out about that too

piles of cloths.. both clean and dirty... I hate laundry

feeling better about myself after just two days of working out... not to mention I was able to fall asleep early last night because of it too.

today is my last day being a nanny so I will be having lots of free time. A few projects for the week include:

photo shoot tomorrow night
cousins birthday at the beach house Saturday
family BBQ Sunday
4th of July festivities Monday
finally getting an estimate on my car Tuesday and visiting the financial aid office
and lots of working out and tanning in between

in trying to make my little princess feel better and put a smile on her face... I took her to Disneyland and she got to meet some of her favorite princesses. It was one of the most amazing times for me as a mom, because she get so excited and knows all of them by name... and some of the princesses even know Payton’s name.

its has been a few weeks, and considering I can’t seem to fall asleep I thought I would write a little late night daybook...

it is dark, a few cars going by here and there... the morning is approaching fast

that I am very grateful for the life that I have and all the people that have been in and out of it. But I am mostly grateful for the relationship that I have with my daughter and even more so that I have been able to stay home with her from the day she was born till present day. life is good... most of the time.

my ex husband... never thought I would say that... but truthfully he is helping me out financially right now and it is a big stress reliever for me. I am not too sure what we would be doing otherwise.

that anything is truly possible. I never would have thought my ex would be going to church... but after a year of us being split up, he has decided that having God in his life again is something that is truly needed. It is definitely a blessing.

a list of things I want to do this summer. This is going to be the last summer I am free to do what I want and I am taking full advantage of it!!!!

to see the positive sides of these more often. I have been feeling very negative lately and I hate that feeling. I don’t know why I seem to be doing this, but I am hoping to make a change.

the toilet flush... Payton just woke up to go. I am so proud of my fully potty trained baby!!!!

lots of cleaning needs to done. I have been slacking big time. oops

is seeing Payton with her dog Charlie. My ex gave her back to us this past week because he just wasn’t home enough for her and Payton has been overjoyed to have her back. Charlie was a rescue and she pretty much lets P do just about anything with her. It is the sweetest thing ever to see them cuddling. I absolutely love it!

Graduation, swap meet, dress shopping for a wedding I am going to in July, and taking the ex to church. It is going to be a good week :)

This last weekend I had a photo shot where I was able to get some pictures of P and myself.... this one takes my breath away! So much LOVE!!!

I don’t think I have ever regretted not going to prom until this last weekend. Yes 7 years later and I am regretting it. Weird I know, but we can blame it all on my brother and his girlfriend. haha. I am just kidding, I don’t regret not going, I just wish I had a cool older sister or brother like myself that could have taken picture of me during it.

Yup, my 19 year old brother and I have come a long way. Six years apart and we have never once gotten along, ok maybe a few times, but for most of the time we don’t. A few weeks ago I received an email from Disney about the new Little Mermaid ride opening. I was so excited because I love love love the movie. As season pass holders were are given a few days before everyone else to preview the ride. I was all over it. Got together my girlfriends from high school and made it a date. We had a minor set back with Payton’s injury but decided that it was going to be the perfect thing to cheer her up. She gets so excited every time we are at Dland. Overall we enjoyed the ride and can’t wait to go again.

Celebrating My Dad’s Birthday in Hermosa Beach

It has been a long time since I have posted this many pictures, let alone had this many pictures I actually wanted to post. Either way, it was a good “DAY”, the night I would rather not relive (refer to last post)... and also a week ago. I am behind, so what!

Like every year... or least it has started to seem that way, we head down to Hermosa Beach, where my Aunt lives, to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. It always falls during Memorial weekend and Hermosa Beach just so happens to have a Street Fair every year. The weather was a little crazy, not a cloud in the sky and the sun was beating down good but the wind was kicking. The breeze made it cold enough for everyone to wear jackets, except me of course, which could be the leading reason to why I feel like I have been sick all week. We later BBQ’d then had some cake... these are the many pictures I had to share :)

This store, The Green Store, is a store that I remember very well growing up. We would stop in there to pick up little goodies, visiting my dad every other weekend was always a time for little goodies. This store is also the way I find my aunts house since I am horrible with names.

What I would do to have this be my vacation home... I can dream right?

The Worst Dream EVER:

I keep pitching myself hoping I will wake up. But it doesn’t happen. This is the worst dream ever... but it isn’t a dream.

We were in Hermosa Beach celebrating my Dad’s birthday at my Aunts house. Payton and all her Uncles and Aunts were there and they were playing all day long. My Aunts dog was in and out of the room where the kids were. Payton loves dogs and said hi to her every time she passed by or laid down on her dog bed in the living room.

It was about 9:30pm and the kids had been up way past there bed time. We decided it was a good time for everyone to go to sleep. I was just getting ready to set the DVD player up with a movie for P and I when she decided to say goodnight to the dog because my Uncle was taking her into their room. Payton laid down partly on the dog and gave her a big hug, “Goodnight Coda”, she said so sweetly in her lovely little voice, I turned to my uncle stating how much she loved dogs. That was when I heard Coda growl. I tuned to look and Payton had stood up, so had Coda, and BAMMMM BAMMMM two bits to the face. Payton screamed like I had never heard her scream before and I ran to her only to see her face was gushing blood.

I was horrified and pissed at the same time. How could this have happened. To my baby girl? Really? She is so gentle and nice to all dogs, WHY????? I don’t think I will able to answer that question, no one can. The dog just snapped.

We rushed her to the emergency because the cut on the bridge of her nose was really deep. We waited... and waited... and waited... 5 hours later we were leaving the hospital with a butter fly stitch, some prescriptions and a very groggy little girl.

I am pinching myself again, still nothing is happening, why can’t I wake up?

I have to be grateful that it wasn’t worse. I have to be grateful that she can’t remember what happened. I have to be grateful that she seems to have minimal pain. I am grateful. AND truthfully I think I am more traumatized than she is. My body is aching in pain over what happened and I can’t get the picture out of my head. I have been so lenient letting her play with peoples dogs not thinking twice about it because I know she wouldn’t do anything wrong, but now... NOW I am a mess. Even the slightest dog sound of a growl freaks me out. I know in time things will get better, I just have to remember that it could have been worse, and that my baby girl is OK and I will be too.

Weird Clouds And a Rut:

I have stated in my last few post how I am feeling like I am in a rut. I don’t know what it is. I feel like lots of changes need to happen and I need to start making some big choices really soon. One of those choices I am debating on is going back to school. I have the opportunity and right now it feels kind of stupid not to jump on it.

Anyways, the weather we have been having hasn’t been helping with the rut I am in because I haven’t been wanting to leave my house. Not a good feeling. When I left my house the other day for a quick run to the grocery store I was really weirded out by the clouds.

Debating on whether to write a post or not is definitely something I haven’t done for a while. It makes me sad that the love I have for blogging just isn’t there anymore. I have been so stressed out with life, seems like all my walls are coming crashing down. AND though I would love to blog I know I shouldn’t because there are like 50+ other things I should be taking care of.

However, I sat on my couch tonight realizing that it has been a long time since I have joined Tabitha from Fresh Mommy’s Sunday Citar and thought that maybe a quote could help cheer me up...

Though my brother and sister don’t get along all the time I know that once we are all older we will be the best of friends. My sister who is 9 years younger than me, has been my rock though my divorce and proven to be so much more mature than her age. While my brother who is often a goof ball finds ways to make me laugh when no one else can. I am so grateful for my sibling and I just love them so much :)

be prepared... I am anything but chipper and happy today...

the gardeners are here... so it is pretty noisy outside

that another big struggle is in front of me. I gave the girl I work for a heads up that I was going to try to find a full time job and in turn she is putting her kid in day care as of the first whether I get a job or not. I was trying to be nice and not pull a fast one on her only to find out that she was going to screw me in the end. Now I need to find a job, at things are looking too good. God has big plans for us once again

my faith, it keeps me strong when I think I should really be curled up in a ball most of the time. Life seems to be getting harder by the second and the only thing I can hold onto is my faith and knowing that God has a plan.

That you can’t trust anyone and that you need to take care of yourself before others. I have been walked all over in the last few months and I have aloud it because I am a nice person. But really I have just been too nice. I need to bring back a little bit of the B

PJ’s ... why change out of them, I work at home (till the 1st) and I have no plans to go anywhere anytime time soon.

to put my trust in God and ask him for the strength and wisdom I need during the next weeks

the bible... we start Deuteronomy in bible study next week.

to find a way to earn money here very soon. I have a few options to work out and hopefully it happens for the sake of the roof over our head.

seeing my daughter dance. She doesn’t have much rhythm but she understands the difference between fast and slow songs and displays that through her dancing. It brings a smile to my face and warms my heart.

It was another busy weekend. Lots of changes going on in my life right now and I am finding it hard to sit at the computer and do anything. My mind just isn’t in the right place. I apologize in advanced if my post get sporadic. I love blogging and because I get so much great feedback and support from so many of you... but for once in a really long time I feel like I just need to take a break and reanalyze everything that is going on right now. I know you all understand and I thank you for that.

One of the guys in our bible study was racing speedway this weekend so we went to support him. I was super excited because we were like the cool kids, we knew a pro. hehe.

It was so much fun and Payton absolutely loved it. She was cheering for the “boys” lol. She had us all cracking up and all the officials just loved her. Hope you all had a great weekend.

A Wonderful Weekend:

This last weekend was one of the best that I have had with just my family... But I guess family time is always nice. My family and I are very tightly knit and if I could have it my way I would move back home so I could try and get my feet on the ground again instead of continually barring myself. It has been so hard to catch up financially. I hope to change this very soon.

Enough blah blah... this weekend was awesome. Friday night I had a girls night with my mom and sister. I was supposed to go to a sushi dinner with one of my friends but it got canceled so instead we had a girls night of our own. We did crafts with the baseball moms and then saw Water for Elephants, which I really think should have been named Whiskey for Elephants, lol. Saturday I did an amazing hike with a friend and then went to the Angels Baseball game with family. AND of course Sunday was Mother’s Day and we hung out with Grandma’s on both sides of my parents. It was a fun fun time. I do feel like I need a break now though. lol. Maybe I’m not ready to move home. HA!

I Love Being A Momma

With Mother’s Day this past weekend I really soaked in what it was to be a mom and I really have nothing to complain about. So many times I hear or read about mom wanting to get away but I love my baby girl with all my heart...and I am sure they do too but even when she has her tantrums I still love her to pieces and can’t get enough of her. There is not one time that I can’t stand her and don’t want to be around her. I guess it is because she is pretty awesome :)

Getting to be with her day in and day out for the past 2.5 years of her life is one of the greatest blessings I could have ever had. I know that most mom’s don’t get that opportunity and I am so very happy I did. But I am afraid that it has gotten to that time where she needs to go to school to get more interaction with other kids her age. Or at least it is something I really need to start thinking about... and with that I really need to think about getting a big girl job too.

But before I think too much about that, I just want to embrace being with my baby girl.

It has been a couple of week but I am back... yes... time to write a little life story down to remember how things were...

it is a hot summer day... it is summer right? lol

that I really do put too much on my plate these days. I know I call myself “Supermom” but I am not feeling so super these days.

my mom. She has seriously helped me through all of the pain and drama I have been going through. The divorce has been taking quite a toll on me, believe it or not. Yes it has been quite easy because I have let it be, but lately I find myself speaking without thinking and jumping to conclusions. I wish I could go to a quite place... and just leave my crazy thinking behind.

that I am human, I too need to cry sometimes just because, scream into a pillow when things get rough, take time to myself because it isn’t about everyone else.... I do not have super powers

yoga pants and a tank... I have been editing pictures all morning.

a way to get things done in a more orderly fashion. I wish I was one of those organized people but truthfully, I don’t know how to stay organized once I start...

to clean up my house once I am done writing this... the kids have made quite the mess today.

lots of blogs... though my phone these days... so if you haven’t seen comments from me in a while it doesn’t mean that I am not coming by, I just can’t figure out how to leave comments without it taking me hours. lol.

that my parents book our family Hawaii trip soon. I would really like to know that white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters are in my near future :)

the ac kick on... yes it really is that hot here today.

there are babies sleeping... awwws

is taking baths late at night. I used to do this all the time before I moved... and well the bath tub is just too small here so I don’t do it as much but I think I might try tonight, maybe it would help me get to sleep at a decent hour.

Friday night going out with my favorite girly for a sushi dinner (yes I love raw fish) at a place in Laguna Beach, maybe we will try to catch the sun set too while we are at it. Also Sunday is Mothers day so we will be hopefully going to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball game :)

I couldn’t help but post two picture tonight... as you might of seen I didn’t post for almost a full week and due to that I wasn’t able to post all the picture I have been taking... so here are just a few more pictures from my birthday. On the left- my birthday cake (thank mom); on the right- my baby girl begging to get in the pool.

My Monster With BIG Eyes:

It was Easter morning, the day after my birthday to be exact, and it felt like it did when I was a kid again. As Payton woke up and realized we had spent the night at my parents house she right away wanted to go wake up Grammie. She opened the door to my sisters room and to her surprise the Easter Bunny had dropped off a basket of goodies. To my surprise it was a basket full of chocolate (thanks mom), and that was where it began at 8am...

I have tried to be a good mom, keeping my baby away from candy and sugar, but the truth is even though she has chocolate and sugar every once in a while, it doesn’t mean I am a bad mom. I need to stop getting down on myself so much. I am doing the best that I can now that I am on my own.

The chocolate kept coming all day long and by the time of this picture (below) she had quite the sugar rush....

... or maybe she was just excited that I was winning cards... hehe

Enhancing a Picture

You never realize how dull colors may seem in a picture until you learn how to enhance then a bit. I am not big into enhancing them so they look unrealistic but a little boost is always nice.

When I want a simple boost I love to use Pioneer Woman’s Action Set 1... she has great collection in there and I love using Fresh & Colorful and then bringing the opacity down to about 30%.

and since I haven’t been sharing too many pictures of my little munchkin and I know you all are begging to see her sweet little face with her big brown eyes....

and just to show the processing with a little before and after...

Processing Pictures

The process kills me. I love love love taking pictures... and editing them can be lots of fun. But I just don’t know if people (clients) really realize how much time goes into it. That is what there money really pays for.

Am I complaining? NOPE... Just remembering that I love my job and I love all the clients that I get the opportunity to take pictures of.

Keeping Up With The Grays?

When I was trying to figure out a title for this week, I found myself questioning it constantly. My legal last name is still Gray, I haven’t finalized the divorce in any way, and I am still not sure weather to change my name back or not? I want to have the same last name as Payton, at least until I marry again, if that ever happens (it will I am optimistic).

Any who, since that is still my last name I guess that can be the name of this post..

Being that I don’t have a fun picture of a cute baby or a beautiful teen or a madly in love couple to share this week, I wanted to share a picture that you are going to see again later this week.

As a few of you may have seen, I started a new post, “What I Wore”. So many of you have done these kinds of post and I have been completely inspired.

Thank to my lovely sister, I was able to capture some great pictures of me dressed in my favorite color. Yes, black is 75% of my closet, I am working on adding color though. lol.

I have been inspired by all of you these last couple of months with your what you wore posts. YET, I couldn’t find myself taking pictures of what I wore because truthfully I have been live in my PJ’s. Not until about a months ago did I realize that I was going out once a week now that Payton spends the night with her dad and well now I can totally do this once a week!

I am hoping to have more pictures of my outfit that are more detailed next time and of course due to the time of this picture the quality isn’t all that great so I put it in B&W... but you get the point. darkness... yes I am writing late at night. Sometimes it is the only time I get to blog.

about how how fun my night trip to Disneyland will be tomorrow since I won’t have the baby and I get to go on the big kid rides :)

my small group. They are one of the best group of people I can surround myself with during all my trials in life. They are not only great people but they are encouraging and inspirational.

that getting days off when you aren’t expecting them are AMAZING... I experienced it this week and it was a beautiful moment I was able to share with my little one and some friends where we utilized my Disneyland pass.

cuddling with my little one. For the past few weeks she has been waking up from bad dreams and it is nice to have her snuggle up next to me once I bring her into my bed. Reminds me of the days she was little and we used to co-sleep.

A Weekend of FUN:

It isn’t very often that I get to have a full weekend of fun stuff to do. I find myself so busy with life, working hard, leads to just more work and less play. This weekend made up for it all.

It started off on Thursday night, I went to a Jason Aldean concert, Friday I got to spend the entire day just Payton and myself, something that barely every happens. I got the day off work and it was great to just have some us time. Payton is growing up so fast. She seems to talk more and more every day, which I know is normal, it just makes me remember that I have to cherish every day no matter how busy it gets. Saturday we went to the mall and got to shop for my birthday dinner outfit. This momma is turning the BIG 25, and she is getting all dressed up, big shoes and all. That night I went to the 30 Seconds to Mars concert and it was RAD. I got soooo close to Jared Leto, which you can see from the video below. Sunday Payton spend time with her dad and I got to go on an amazing hike with my best friends from high school followed by seeing one of the most inspiring movies with my sister, Soul Surfer. Ok I bet you are even tired after just reading all that, just imagine how I feel from living it. haha.
